As you might have noticed, I use this blog to keep track of a lot of issue I have while working. This post is no different (sorry!).

I've sporadically gotten some ActiveRecord::ConnectionTimeoutError error with Sidekiq; the rake middleware usually takes care of this stuff, but apparently it fails sometimes. To fix that, just run ActiveRecord::Base.clear_active_connections! in a dev rails c. If it persists, bump up the pool size in your database.yml.
